For our reading workshops our goal was to "Identify some text events and features, and discuss what they make the reader think about. Identify at least one important idea and justify why it is important. Identify several ideas, discuss the author's stance or purpose, and understand relationships in the text". We read a comic called "Once a Panther" a story about a time in the past where racism had been tough on the people affected by the violence. We used a template and answered the questions to show that we understand the story.
