In school we have many different clubs and lunchtime/morning tea activities. In this blog post I'm going to talk about the club I decided to join 1 year ago, the ukulele club. In the ukulele club we do lots of fun, complex, and holiday related songs (mostly Christmas related).
A few months ago this year we played in the 2019 Strum Strike Blow. In base you didn't know what it is, Strum Strike Blow is a event that happens once a year. Its an event where kids from all different schools in Christchurch fortunately gets a chance to play one of the 3 instruments ukulele, recorder/flute and the xylophone/marimba (it's slightly similar to a xylophone). Anyways our club was lucky enough to participate in Strike Strum Blow again this year. We played many songs like April sun in Cuba, Dragonfly, Magnificent men etc.
This year they were fortunately able to get the bicycle band in the performance. The bicycle band is just a bunch of talented people who can play an instrument while riding a bike. It was an amazing sight.
Well I hoped you enjoyed my blog post! Did you go to strum strike blow? What musical instrument do you play?
